Jean-Claude Killy was a triple gold medal winner from the 1968 winter Olympics. His name was given to the area of Val D'Isere and Tignes in tribute for his amazing achievements. Today it is one of the most popular regions for skiing and extreme sports in France. Ski professionals and enthusiasts flock to the area for some of the best skiing in France. Some pistes remain open all year round, due to the high altitude of this winter playground.

Every day, especially in the winter, numerous trains (TGV, Eurostar, Thalys) arrive in Bourg St Maurice train station Once in Bourg St Maurice, you can easily take a bus or taxi to Val d'Isere.
